S355N Steel Grade, Mechanical Properties, Chemical Composition, Grade Equivalent

Standard: EN 10025-3 :2004 European standard for hot-rolled structural steel. Part 3 - Normalised/normalised rolled weldable fine grain structural steels.

Steel grade: S355N ;

Number: 1.0545 .

These steels are used for welded parts that have to withstand high levels of strain. Typical applications are bridges, pylons and other architectural structures.

Ladle analysis.
S - sulphur content of 0,010 % max. can be agreed in the order for all products with a thickness of ≤ 16 mm intended for railway construction.
The minimum value for the Al total content shall not apply if the steel contains sufficient quantities of nitrogen-fixing elements.
CEV maximum carbon equivalent value CEV = C + Mn / 6 + (Cr + Mo + V) / 5 + (Cu + Ni) / 15
